I reacted badly to the hormones, mostly it made me very dry and it made it near impossible to orgasm. So the pill was very effective in that I didn't want to have any sex! Anyways, condoms are a pain in the butt and sex doesn't feel as good for him (or me) and I want to try an IUD. Here are my concerns though:1. I hear it hurts like a mofo to put in.2. I want to try the non-hormonal copper IUD, but I hear it causes horrible long painful periods.3. I'm worried to try Mirena since it's hormonal, but a lot of my friends love theirs. So does anyone have any advice/experience? How much does it hurt...?

I was told over and over again the hormones wouldn't affect me from Mirena, that they'd stay in the general uterus area. I am very sensitive to hormones, so I think I'll stay away from that kind of IUD. Thanks!
