bonym agony auntDont worry babe, this is normal. I am 23, I started my period around 13, when I started, they were really light, came every 43 days and were pain free, also they lasted around 7 days. With in a few months and then years, they became heavy, painful and one time it lasted FOURTEEN DAYS!!!! After that a few times they lasted 10 days. Now, they have settled down, they come like clockwork, around 26-28 days and are very heavy on day one, quite heavy on day two, ok on day three and more or less finished on day four. My dear, this is completely normal, I thought there was something wrong with me, but your body is just getting used to the periods. Ok, so please dotn worry. Take care.

DrPsych agony auntDifferent women have a different cycle for periods so try not to worry. Don't be embarrassed about asking for a medical opinion as you can ask to see a lady doctor who will understand! It is normal for periods to be a bit irregular during the teen years. But if you are worried, you can always see a doctor and get your hormones checked out through a blood test.
