reader, anonymous, writes (18 June 2010): PS - more fequent bathroom breaks can be a sign of pregnancy too because its the changing hormone that sends your bladder nutty in the first few weeks/months. And the later months are when baby is pushing on bladder hence again the association of going to the toilet more.

reader, anonymous, writes (18 June 2010): cramping could be a sign of pregnancy because some symtons of a period are similar to signs of pregnancy ... i crampt for a while before realising my period wasn't coming, it was milder cramps but i still felt like i was about to start my period at any second. I'm now 7 months gone so having similar symtoms i'd say test yourself again in a few days, some times the hormone is too low to show up on a pregnancy test because your not pregnant enough yet.

These are more like menstrual pains than pregnancy. The reason pregnant women need to use the toilet more is that the fetus is pushing on their bladders. You wouldn't experience that in the first few weeks of pregnancy. Cramps don't really go with being pregnant either. I'd say it's more likely that you're starting your period soon more than being pregnant. Occasionally our periods are just late or something and we don't know why. I'd bet that, but you can always go to a doctor just to be sure.
