writes: hey. i mostly seem to get what i want. im talking about with guys. i start liking someone and they end up liking me too. the last guy i went out with i wanted him so bad and he liked me and we went out. i thought it was going good and i got what i wanted but he broke up with me after a week. i was very dissapointed. now i like this kid that i've always wanted to talk to (lets call him chris) and now we've got to know each other and we like each other a lot but now this other kid is telling me he likes me(lets call him brett). i cant be mean and tell brett that i kinda already have something and i dont like him. i use to like brett alot before but then he got a gf and that was it. but i like chris alot now. and we're about to go out but i feel bad about brett. brett is very sweet and i dont want to let him down :( why do i always have to be put in a difficult situation after i get what i want? and what should i do? thank you so much if u can help!

reader, anonymous, writes (15 October 2008): Does Brett still have a gf? cuz if he does, go out with Chris, if not, all I can say is that it is easier for a guy to get over a girl if they are honest and straightforward, if you don't tell Brett how you really feel it will seem like you were leading him on, and speaking from a guy's perspective, that really hurts, so just be honest, that's the best way to go.
