First make sure that your kids routine remains as stable and focus on them.
They also have to get used to the "new normal", and by focusing on them initially, it will give you some direction. This includes staying on top of your kids and their school work, schedule, etc...
When you get some time alone, you will have that time to deal with the mourning process. Relationship loss requires the partners (ex partners now) to go through the grieving process.
I have done a number of media interviews and articles on break ups and getting over an ex, and you can check them out for free at my site:

I wish you healing.

First you deal with the practical side - money, child support, maintenance
Next you have 5 kids who are caught up in it all, sorry but you can't fall apart you have to be there for them
Yes it sucks, yes its hard, you feel like a bus has dropped on you, but seek all the support you can, from family, friends and the doctor if need be - it will all get you through the first few months
Is there no chance at all of reconciliation ?
If not get access sorted out, he is still their Dad and should do his share so you get a break. It does get easier I promise, life does go on.
Come on here anytime.
