A male reader, anonymous, writes (28 May 2009):

I cant say with any authority, considering I am not a doctor, but a lot of negative side effects can result from over consumption of caffeine. Some of them include: Headache, Nervousness, Jitters, Increased Heart Rate, Higher blood pressure and Nausea not to mention weight gain from the sugar and calorie content of Red Bull. What this sounds like is a classic case of caffeine addiction. Its just about as hard to break as an addiction to cigarettes. Despite popular belief, caffeine is a drug, albeit a widely socially accepted one. If you truly are worried about this individual, I would talk to him.
