My sister has been kicked out of her home... I don't know how to help

I am writing this on my sisters behalf.

My sister had been with her partner for a year, they seemed happy to me they have a 6 month old son and were a happy little family, but all of a sudden he has dumped her and chucked her out of the flat that they shared together.

She is back living with our mother with her baby. She is devastated beyond belief, she wants him back and has been on an extreme rollercoaster since this happened. We, meaning my mother and I, don't know what to do to help her. Her partner is being nasty to her one minute and ok the next. What makes a man chuck out his partner and child?

I can't understand what has happend between them, as they have fought to stay together and gone against their families. This is because they met under weird circumstances, his mum was and is in a relationship with our dad. So after all this fighting between families he has lost it and dumped my sister.

She swears to me on her childs life that she hasn't cheated on him. I don't know how to help her, she keeps asking for my advice but I don't know what to say to her?

Advice needed... !

suggest she come live with you until she gets on her feet. That would be the sisterly thing to do.
