A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Me and my boyfriend work shifts at the same place and I want to end it, it's only been a few weeks but its never going to work, I know this.

My question is can I do it by txt message, I know it's harsh and not nice but I need to do it before Tuesday so I can forget about him as I will see him on Tuesday at work and want to go back to being professional!

He's working tonight till Monday night and I'm on days so there is no time I can see him face to face or even ring him! :( please help!

If you truly want to break up with someone out of respect for the person you should do it in person. It won't make things anymore professional texting your break up instead of just telling him how you feel. If you really feel there's no time to see him to let him know you can even call him which is still better than texting him.

What is the rush? Text him and say you need to see him to talk. He'll probably guess what's up but you give him the chance to see you face to face. Be fair, it costs nothing to be a decent person.
