Bottom line is, love is love, if you feel that this man is the genuine article and you feel a connection, then literally anything is possible. Just make sure that you are very careful.

just say something like "hi do you fancy a coffe/drink/going out to cinema when i am in town"....then see where it goes, just flirt a little.
and yes some ldrs work - but you need an end point to work to...e.g. finally we live in the same place...
