There's this guy I've really liked for three years now, and he likes me back, and we've known that and hung out for a year, but I'm not technically allowed to "date" . . . but we pretty much have a relationship, if that makes sense. We both come from really conservative families, and we just started holding hands recently. Neither of us has ever been kissed, and I really want to kiss him, but I'm afraid it will lead to things I don't want to have happen. My parents know about us but I haven't asked them about this yet. Most of my friends seem to think that I'm responsible enough to keep things from going somewhere I'm not ready for, but I don't think they understand how much I like him! I don't know if I'd be as mature as they say. Should I kiss him anyway? Reply to this Question Share |

There's nothing wrong with light kissing. Just don't feel pressured to take it any further. Holding hands, hugging, and kissing is ok for a relationship with a boy you've known for 3 years.
