Should I just keep him as a friend or can I change his mind about being in a relationship?

A female Czech Republic age 51-59, anonymous writes:

The man i used to date last year appeared suddenly last week. He called me after two months. It was late in the night and i was out in a club with one friend of me (woman). He asked me and i told him where i was and he came to me. He talked to me and to my friend, he was polite and friendly and then he left. He told me that we would talk again soon but he hinted that we are friends now and he mentioned clearly that this night he would have met another woman. Although i had mentioned to him in the past that it's better to stay friends as he had said to me that he didn't really want a normal relationship with me i really felt jealoous when he mentioned that he would meet another woman later that night. Should i keep him in the friends position the next time we meet? Should i tell him again that there isn't a possibility to be together if he doesn't change his mind about a serious relationship? Is it possible to change his mind and wants to be together as a couple? I really want to be with him but i want to have a relationship otherwise i don't really feel happy when we meet for a day and then he appears again after 2 weeks or in a month. It's really very suffering.
