writes:well i met this wonderful guy,hes 2 years older than me im 24. he's cute, intelligent, and so cultured that he took me completely by surprise,it was in a dating site, truth, and we e-mail like a month, since he is in the army i usually got replies every 2 to 4 days, which is fine by me. so we met, and hit it on quite well and made a date to meet the following weekend.that day he took me out to lunch and we headed to his apartment, where he played some pieces in the piano for me, and me kissed. nothing else happened.e left his apartment and took me to my friends house. on the way he told me he was going out next weekend for something with his job, but that he didn't want to wait 2 weeks to see me. long story short, we didn't see each other those weeks and planed on a date Thursday of last week. well he asked for a rain check and i told him it was fine, that we should plan for the weekends,.and its been a week and a half and i've herd nothing from him at all. i haven't e-mailed or texted him or nothing. but in the time we had together i saw him completely into me. what would of given his change of heart?.And 'im thinking i should just give up. any ideas?

Lady_rain is verified as being by the original poster of the question yeah im just giving up. i saw him logged on at myspace and he couldn't take 5 min to write to me. i don't need this, im sure i'll find the right guy somewhere. and as i say i really dont need a guy anyways.

 oh my lanta!!! Thats EXACTLY what happened to me! Not the same guy of course, but I had this PHENOMENAL first date with this guy and he was adament about seeing me again and then blows me off completely.why do guys do this?this is what I'm doing with my situation: I'm moving on. It sucks, because I know there was a definite connection I've never felt with anyone before, but the way I see it...these guys are deliberately ignoring our texts/calls, etc. Personally I don't think these guys deserve our attention anymore. although I know it sucks, I really do feel your pain because the same thing is happening to me now. I can understand a guy blowing off a girl for a mundane ok date but when the date goes AMAZING? I just don't get it.
