Whats bothering me is that I have feelings for my best friend. She was in a relationship with one of our common friends. All of us used to hang out together in a group with a couple of more friends in school. We all moved to different places sometime back and after that they broke up. Its been 3-4 months since they broke up. I am not really sure whether she has feelings for me. It probably may not be. Even if the answer is no I would be happy I gave it a shot. I wouldn't be breakig my head like now. 1) So now the question is whether I should go ahead and tell her considering all the past?2) And I am scared I might lose her friendship?

Whatever her reaction whether negative or positive is the risk that you would have to take if you really want your feelings for her known. And anyway, since its 3-4 months since she broke up with your friend..there is also a possibility that she is not over the break-up yet (if the relationship with her ex was serious). You can find it out anyway or see any clue once you tell her about your feelings.
