Should I dump him for being controlling about my eating habits?

Tagged as: Big Questions, Troubled relationships<< Previous question   Next question >>
Question - (18 October 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 19 October 2010)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend tells me that I shouldn't eat as much as I do, and then when I started getting self conscious about it, or "listening to him" it all went down hill. He noticed at first that I wasn't eating as much as I used to, which was what he wanted... :( But now he realizes that I'm not eating anymore. He is really worried and is helping me. But i don't know if i should dump him because he made this happen, or should I just see how everything goes?

I guess that should depend on the reason why he said you shouldn't eat as much. Was it because you were unhealthily overweight? Overeating unhealthy foods? If so, that might have been well-intentioned advice.
