Should I be worried about his internet activity?

Tagged as: Pornography, Teenage, Trust issues<< Previous question   Next question >>
Question - (20 July 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 20 July 2008)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I've never been bothered by my boyfriend reading "lads mags", in fact I got him a subscription as a gift. These magazines are tame though, some topless pics but mostly about sport and cars.

However, I have noticed a number of pics and videos on his phone of half naked girls and them stripping (he has been downloading them). They upset me a little bit but I know its normal for men to fantasize about these women so didn't say anything. I also put male pics on my phone, so he could see how it feels and he hasn't mentioned them.

But while I was using his computer, I noticed he had googled "hookers in glasgow"...should I be worried??

I don't know how to tackle this with him as he'll think I'm spying on him.

A male reader, LazyGuy Netherlands +, writes (20 July 2008):

LazyGuy agony auntOh shit, she found out the secret about our mags. The women are just a cover, we really read them for the car reviews, latest gadgets and interviews. Damn.

Nice touch with your own cellphone but unless you got a high-tech phone he likes to play with he might never notice. If you want to be subtle I suggest a billboard in front of your house.

The hookers in glasgow bit, yeah that should worry you. It might be that he is very inexperienced in finding porn and he hopes to get some pictures from hookers websites but how likely is that?

If he is seing hookers it is not just a matter of cheating but the risk of STD's as well.

But why not actually TRY that search yourself. Turn off safe-search options and see the results. My first 20 results are ALL safe, there is just one sex link in the sponsored ads section. It seems hookers in glasgow mostly returns links about prositution and news stories.

'escort agency in glasgow' is the search to get the hookers. You don't look up hookers on the internet, they prefer to call themselves escorts, the difference being the price tag and hookers do not have the kind of spare cash to advertise on the net.

So, what was he really looking for? What other searches did you find? Would he be sleezy enough to know that you should search for escorts instead? If not, he may actually have been looking it up for an entirely innocent reason.
