She was drunk and wanted to mess around but I held off. How do I tell her?

A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So I'm a little scared by this dilemma. Been friends with this one girl for YEARS. We met in Kindergarten and now we're seniors in high school. So, it's been a while.

Well, we both went to the same party and I started talking to this other chick (just friendly banter) and my friend got wasted. She asked me to go to a private room with her and thinking I can control the situation, I agreed. Well, she kissed me and started trying to lift up my shirt and unzipping her pants.

I told her no and she started crying, saying that I didn't want her. That it was all a mistake and she was sorry. I told her I DID (and do!) want her but what the hell was I supposed to do when she was all over me and I didn't want to take advantage of her? What an unfair situation, man.

The next morning (this past Sunday morning), we woke up together on a futon with ALL of our clothes still on. She was still shocked and I was too afraid to explain to her what had happened, so I just told her she passed out and I didn't want to leave her alone. By the way, I was not drunk; hence why I did not want to take advantage of her.

But I'm still unsure of how to approach this because I do have feelings for her; they just didn't reveal themselves until Sunday. Any insight would be great! Thanks!

Wow! Shes damn lucky to have a friend like you! You need to shoot straight and tell her how you feel pertaining to the fact that you didnt want to take advantage of her (respectfully), that you are indeed interested and attracted to her and that you have feelings for her. You've done the right thing so far ;)

tough situation well the truth is always better then lying so try telling her what happened she will probably be more embarrassed then anything and the part about you liking her... ok so when you two are hanging out all alone having some friend fun you know just laughing maybe tell her... that you think she is pretty girls like that sort of thing and ask her out? she probably likes you to i mean how can you not if you have been with them all that long its just kind of always there i bet she does
