A reader, anonymous, writes (19 November 2007):

Well, I hate to break it to you good sire, but most girls appear 'a lil bipolar'. It is in their nature. My resolution to your claim, of which I completely side with you on by the way, is to apologize to her for writing it. Grab her hand and say "Darling. Please don't. Listen to me. I must say this, for it has ben weighing heavily on my heart. I can't eat. I can't dream, out of fear of you leaving me again. Please, I love you more than anything in this world. Trust me. Honey? I love you. I love you. Forgive me. Please. This is all I can ever ask of you. Forgive me."
