reader, anonymous, writes (12 July 2008): P.S. I would try holding hands with her first during the movie, before moving to arm around shoulders. But if you're the clammy hands type, the shoulder move may be better. I never liked necking during movies (sorry Uncle Phil!) because often I want to WATCH the film! Plus some young women are embarrassed to show affection in public.

Then pull back, with your hands on her arms or shoulders, and look into her eyes. If she seems inviting, give her another kiss next to her mouth. Pull back again, check her eyes again for her reaction. If you still have the green light, go for the lips!

In the cinema, back seats, put your arm around shoulders and kiss her on the cheek. If your arm is automatically removed from her shoulders, don't bother with the last bit.
