I've dated guys that seemed nice, but after a couple of dates have decided that I didn't really fancy them. So rather than keep seeing them just for the sake of it, it was best to stop rather than risk anyone's feelings getting hurt. In this case though it seems a bit strange because almost straight away she said she didn't want a second date? Which would suggest to me that she probably has someone else. had she recently split from her boyfriend? You had a date, she enjoyed herself so did you. She simply isn't the girl for you, so carry on dating with someone else.

Yes, if she said she had a good time she had a good time... so take that as a compliment and remember what you did. As for her "things have changed" statement... that is precisely it... 'things changed,' like maybe an ex-boyfriend resurfaced, or she decided that she really wasn't ready to date anyone. Although it was a crappy thing to do, this is all part of dating to find the right person for you. Remember at least you only wasted one date on her, rather than a few months worth. Find another girl and ask her out, and try not to take the 'other' girls comments too personally.
