I'm at university, and once I signed up to the uni dating website kinda for a laugh with some mates, but then checked out the profiles and there was 1 girl i really the profile for.I then saw her around my department at uni yesterday and was like 'wow'. we made eye contact, but it wasn't anything big. I wouldn't mind asking her out/trying to see if i could talk to her, but wouldn't it be a little odd to do so to someone random via a social networking site? i doubt i'll see her around in the department again so i'd have to contact her electronically and that always bugs me as being a little creepy... I'm not the most confident of persons either, so that doesn't help too...Any help of how best to approach her would be cool!

Add her on facebook. If you are new to uni everyone is adding everyone so she won't be surprised. Then maybe chat to her via the messaging service there. Slightly less odd than being contacted via a dating site. Although you should remember that she joined too so maybe it would be fine to hi through that... x

you can email her and let her know that you have checked out her profile, and you can compliment her profile...and then you can tell her that you have seen her in person, and that you would like to get to know her...you can get to know eachother first by emails...until she ready to confront you in person...you really need to know the person's personality, and how they really are before getting to serious with a person...always think positive...positive thinking usually brings positive results.
