writes:hi all just wanted some advice please, i have not had a period since December. done 5 tests all negative, feel bloated, got heartburn. could i still be pregnant, i am going to a doc at the end of month if nothing happens.

 Home pregnancy test do have the problem of false negative and false positive so its best to go to your doctor for a proper test, also if you believe your pregnant you can have symptoms without actually being pregnant (your body works in mysterious ways when your brain gets confused from mixed signals), also if your stressed about getting your period it wont come till you stop worrying.

reader, anonymous, writes (21 February 2008): you could be pregnant but there is likely to be another reason. are you worrying about it a lot? stress can stop your body from working properly in lots of different ways. i would go to the doctor asap. this will ease ur mind and youll know 1 way or the other. ur body may not be producing enough hormones for it to show on a pee test.
