Okay, this may have nothing to do with sex, or relationships, however it does have to do with LOVE.

I recently got a new chihuahua puppy, she is the love of my life, I'm really worried that she might have Hypoglycemia.

She isnt eating well, and she's been sleeping ALOT, she's only 6 weeks old, so I know that she's prone to it. Please anybody that has a chihuahua please help me!

A reader, anonymous, writes (18 October 2008):

If you are this concerned don't ask people on the internet to diagnose your puppy, take him or her to the vet immediately....dogs take money to care for them, so if you can't afford a vet appointment, then you cannot afford to keep the dog. Puppies do sleep alot at six weeks of age, but not eating is a problem, puppies need to be able to eat as much as they need....it may be the food it doesn't like, the kibble is too big, but by all means ask the expert, a vet! A small dog that is not eating can starve to death pretty quikly or become dehydrated as well....take your dog to the vet for an exam.

I really think you should take her to the vet and let them do a full check up. My first dog was a chihuahua and he looked perfectly normal but i took him to the vet for his first check up and he had parvo (a deadly virus). My dog wouldnt eat either. The good thing is that i took him right away and they were able to cure him.. best of luck
