Overlook with hope or ditch and disappear?

A male Ireland age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hey peeps say you got fixed up with a gal or lad who you've taken a great liking to and that gal or lad feels the same liking about you but then a couple months or so in you got hold of evidence that the gal or lad had a long track record for being in affairs when they were married and single and in a few instances that broke up marriages.

Would you overlook it and continue investing in the gal or lad hoping they might of changed for the better or would you ditch the gal or lad and right away and disappear?
