Personally each of my tattoos have a meaning behind them and a strong connection to some chapted in my life. I get that everyone is different but I've always thought it was tacky when people get tattoos "just because" like tinkerbell on the leg because you think its cute. What are your thoughts, opinions?**I'll post a pic of the final product next week.**

I got a full sleeve and I'm working on my other arm and a chest piece and my lady has a few too and is getting more. The only tattoos I think are completely gay and poinltess is tribal. I don't think tattoos need to tell stories or have deep meanings, I get tattoos as an appreciation of the art form.

I have 4 tattoos and all have a diffrent and special meaning to them i get one a year for my birthday as a present to myself (i got two at once at one time because they where teeney as there behind my ears).
I love tattoos but i think they should all have meanings because when your older you dont wanna look down and see an awful pointless tat that you got just for the hell of it

As I said, tattoos generally do "not bother me," but really big images all over some women's arms or torso would probably make me think twice about public escort if they were exposed. And may I ask, if a girl inscribes her current hot boyfriend's name, or even just something about him that "means" something, what will you think five equally important boyfriends or a husband down the road? How will your future husband feel about always being reminded of the guy you were screwing in the past?

A few people had tiny ones that showed in a bathing suit but would be covered with clothing, not so bad, All I can say is you need to think longterm and keep it simple\!

Well, my friends boyfriend, spencer is an ass hole, and he was telling my friend (his girlfriend, jenny) that if she got one he would love her just as much, but lose all respect for her. So i guess thats one way of thinking about it, but for myself.. i want a tattoo sooo badly, and when im not pregnant or breast feeding anymore i am going to get one. As long as they mean something importaint to you, i dont think there is anything wrong with it, and when your older, like that other guy was saying 50,60 +... its just gunna show, you had a lot of damn fun when you were younger and your not afraid to party, my mom has a tattoo, she is 39 now, and it looks fine still, i mean you dont see it all the time its in a place you can only see when she is in her bikini, and she has guys hitting on her all the time... i guess it really just depends on your body type, and if you really care what other people think... if it means something to you, and its really importaint to have it, then it shouldnt matter what other people think of them. its your body, you are the one who has to look at it all day long every day.

I'm of a different generation entirely and there is not an unnatural mark on body. Most of the women near my age (abt. 60) with whom there has been a relationship have not had a tattoo anywhere, though two had a small one. All those below age 50 had tattoos. Does not bother me, but when a woman becomes 40, 50 or 60, what will be preferable and attractive? My advice is at least not to overdo it. I think it's a passing fad for girls that may someday prove embarrassing.
