Do you think I have reason to worry about being pregnant?

A reader, adamsum19, writes (14 February 2005): Hi, I don't thik you have reason to be concerned. If you bled when you came off it then I do not think you are pregnant. I have been on the pill for years and have had many experiences like this. A lot of it is to do with the way you are thinking, if you are thinking you are pregnant you will be looking for tell tale signs, which maybe you are enhancing in your mind. The nbest way to know for sure is to do a test, as it is dangerous to continue on the pill if in fact you are pregnant.Hope this helps, good luckadamsmum19

Get a pregnancy test as soon as you can. If you've been sexually active in the last month or two, you should be tested, just in case.A home kit is pretty reliable, but you really should get to a doc or a gyno and explain to him or her about the symptoms you're having. Consider doing both things. The pill isn't 100% effective for everybody all the time, and what you describe are unusual symptoms. To put your mind at ease and so you don't have to guess what's going on in your body, make an appointment for a test as soon as you can. That way, if you are pregnant, you can make an informed choice about what you do next, and without feeling rushed to decide.-B
