A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Well you may thing i'm being stuipd when i say my skin is ruining my life.Mabye you think that i'm overreacting just a little. But how would you feel if as soon as you were about 13 years old you were the only girl in class with blemishes and every year that went by they got worse.Nothing in the shops that i used worked and my skin was lighter than the average persons skin.Which ment that it was vertually impossable to find the right shade of makeup to cover them.So i ether went to school with either too dark or to light make up for me on.But no make up could cover it enough.I was constantly reminded of my rubbish skin by people with nothing better to do than to tease me.I was also picked on for having porclain coloured skin by other white people. Then eventually i went to the docters with this embarasing problem and he gave me some cream which cleared my skin completely over the space of a lot of months almost a year. But then i had the odd one or two which i used the same cream for but i must have put a little too much on because then i developed exma on my face in one place to begin with(then two more they weren't that bad but it was just dry and red).So i stopped the cream and went back to the docter. He perscribed something else

cream for blemishes and another one for exma.one of the exma patches have now gone and the other two have almost gone but my blemishes got worse. So i have got something else for them.If this dosen't work then i have no idea what to do next mabye i'll have to go back to the docter and just hope that the third trip to the docter will be the lucky one.If anyone has any advice to help with this please put in an answer.I would be greatful.Thank you for reading this.

it happens to the best of us.

it seems like its the biggest thing in the world, but its actually tiny and small to other people...they care alot less about your skin than you do (they have their own skin to worry about)

get lots of sleep, lots off water, eat healthy and less stressing. dont use all sorts of chemicals/thick creams and makeup. let your skin breathe. keep things light, simple and clean when it comes to putting things on your face.

goin in the tan booth can help a bit as well.

but at the end of the day there is usually not much you can do about it. just shrug it off and enjoy life
