writes:Okay,so I've been crushing on my senior in school band for the past 5 months now.- When we first met, his attitude towards me was really cold aad he ignored me all the time.- Around 4 months ago, he had a sudden attitude change towards me and became friendlier. We started talking more from there. From small talk to actual conversations.- We had a band camp on 30 Nov to 1 Dec last year. During the campfire, he noticed that I wasn't eating much and stopped people from eating the last piece of meat on the plate. After that, he placed that piece of meat on my plate. I didn't know what to say or do so I simply spluttered my thanks.- We'd go for dinner together after band practice since practices end at around 6.30pm which is dinnertime.- Around late December 2010 to early Jan 2011, he began rushing off after band practice. Usually, we'd walk back together. We've been doing that since November 2010..- In the first week of Jan, he told me that he had a girlfriend while we were having a conversation, but all my other friends tell me that he might have been trying to make me jealous.. (read on below!)- Then around Mid Jan, he stopped rushing off after practices and started walking with me again. - Last Tuesday, I was chatting with my friend after school and I heard someone shout "Hey! Hi!" I looked to my left and there he was waving and smiling at me! We walked back together after that. I noticed that his face was bright and he was smiling while we chatted. Since it started raining, at the school gate, I had to dig through my bag for my umbrella. My senior, after realizing that I wasn't walking with him, he turned back and waited for me before we left together.On the same day during lunch break, I walked past his classroom with a couple of friends but I didn't dare look into the classroom to see his face. Then my friend who happened to look, told me that she saw him smiling at me as we passed his class. I didn't see him doing that so I don't know.. In fact, I've been walking past his classroom quite often (to go for breaks, etc) and each time he'd wave when we see each other (even if he's in the middle of a class!)- A couple of other people in our school band have asked me if the both of us were actually in a relationship. (We aren't by the way.. not yet)- Last wednesday, we saw each otehr again after school was dismissed and this time 'round we went for lunch together..- There was once when he was interested in EVERYTHING I was telling him. He was even interested in my Math homework o__o??- One time, I was texting a guy friend and laughing at his stupid jokes. I happened to be with my senior again and he'd asked "Who are you texting..?"- When I say something that he didn't quite catch, he'll make me repeat myself until he gets it.- A friend told me once that sometimes she'd spot him looking around. Then when he sees me, he'd nod and then go on with what he was doing.My friends have asked me to confess but the fact that he told me that he has a girlfriend is holding me back. I want to be sure before I say anything to him.. I also noticed that he seems uncomfortable and tense when we started talking about relationships yesterday during band practice. (we went home together again yesterday btw)I'm confused. Does he like me or not?

 A couple questions to ask: Does he do these same behaviors just for you or around other people too, particularly girls? How does he act when others are around? If you are the commitment of his attention whether others are around or not, he probably likes you a lot. If he acts different when others are around (such as slightly quieter, redirects conversations) he may be nervous to show how he really feels about you in front of others. You make him feel comfortable, that's why he's so open with you.Read his body language a little. If he places himself in front of you while your standing and talking, he is focusing on you and that can be a sign he likes you. Same thing with reading his behavior. If you two decide to sit, he will sit next to you rather than across the table to show how close he wants to be.Most of all, ask him. That is the clearest and safest way to see how serious he is about you. Communication is half the battle. I hope this helped you, good luck.
