(PS - For my wedding, I just wore what I wore on our first date. It was much more meaningful than an expensive old wedding dress that I'd never worn before and that I would never wear again. Maybe you'd like to do something like that, too. Or maybe dress up in what your partner thinks is your prettiest/cutest/most attractive dress/outfit. ^_^)

Hi there so-n-love,Here are some websites that I ran across while doing a quick google search of "commitment ceremony" --International Commitment Ceremony Registrar - http://www.unionoflove.com/Alternatives to Marriages Project - http://www.unmarried.org/ceremonies.htmlQuotes that can be used during a CC - http://www.quotegarden.com/ceremony.htmlThere are also lots of ideas on this athiest website - http://www.atheists.org/comingout/weddings/atheistweddings.htmlAnd I'm not sure where you're located or anything, but Wyndam Hotels seem to host/cater a lot of commitment ceremonies because they have a section about it with a free price quote on their site - http://www.wyndham.com/meetingsandweddings/weddingsbywyndham/commitmentceremonies/main.wntAnd theknot.com has a bunch of cute favors, etc for weddings that would work equally as well for CC's - http://weddingshop.theknot.com/weddingwarehouse/HomePage.aspx?KSTRK=NAVTABWEDDINGSHOPAlso, http://theknot.com also has a To-Do list for organizing weddings. It's extremely helpful - just ignore the stuff you don't want to include in your ceremony. (That's what I did.)If you're making invitations yourself, some inexpensive alternatives are choosing photos from cheap or free websites such as http://sxc.hu or http://istockphoto.comYou could also pick up some blank cards from a card shop and just do text in the invitation in a pretty font and print the cards and envelopes at home. For my friend's wedding, it was on the beach and she bought a some decorative sand and shells at an art supply store (like Michaels), and printed the invites on small scrolls from her home computer. She put everything into a little bottle and mailed them off (just make sure that your guests will be able to get the invites out! lol) ^_^And even though you're not going to have a full-on wedding, the concept is the same, so maybe stop by your bookstore and check out some wedding magazines. It will save you a lot of money if you don't go with a coordinator. Also, an alternative to a big cake would be little cupcakes or petit fours shaped like wee cakes. These - especially the cupcakes - would save you lots of money. ^_^Anyway - congratulations! Have fun planning. Remember - planning this isn't meant to be stressful - have some fun with it! ^_^I hope that my answer has been of some help!Take care.
