You need to meet him in a public place for the first couple of times. You should even invite a friend to come along with you. Do NOT go to his apartment alone. You don't even know him. If he really likes you and wants to get to know you then he will want the same and will understand. Be careful!

my cousin is happily married to someone she met online so I don't completely disagree with your thoughts on wanting to meet up with him. I don't think a month is long enough to really get to know someone online. If you insist on meeting him now, DON'T go to his house for the first meeting. Plan to meet up for dinner with a group of friends and him. Being alone with him is asking for trouble!

I know its very untrusting but there are so many bad things that have happened to people with regards to the interent! good things too but for your first date, meet some where public, please!
