Have you tried asking him...whether he wants out or not? What i find a bit bizarre is its all on his terms and that he has made his decision and you have got to along with it....now,if you are happy with that arrangement, then thats fine, but if you are not....then you are allowed to speak your mind. While there is nothing wrong with spending time with your friends....in his case it sounds like his fun time will be spent with them at weekends and you will be on the side line, during the week.It does appear to sound selfish and he is calling the shots.....in a relationship its all about compromise but in this case its all what he wants and i get the impression that you are not happy with that.If you dont want this set up then i suggest that you have a long talk with him and tell him that you are not happy with this....after all,it is about give and take.....but it sounds like he is doing the taking.
