I dont mean to be harsh, but im just going striaght to the point. If he didnt care, why would he ask ?
If he was just asking about the price of things that would be OK, but asking about her personal life isnt a good sign is it.

There's a possibility that he might be jealous about the relationships that she's been in but at the time he could be just curious. The way you'll find out whether it's jealousy or just pure noseness is the way he reacts when being told that his ex-wife is sleeping with other men. If you think that he is jealous and is planning to get back together with his ex then dump him and move on. Just one thing to remember, the marriage failed so it can't have been that good.
