writes: my boyfriend and his sister are very close same as me and my siblings, but sometimes when i am around i do not feel comfortable at all, they will playing together tickling each other and that makes me feel out of place. i just sit there and watch them its like i am being singled out, though i wouldn't want to tell my boyfriend cause i have a feeling, he would think i am saying don't be close to you sister. Treat it as you would if it had been two friends of your tickling each other or messing about. Just laugh or preoccupy yourself with something else, unless you want to get into the action too. They don't go on for hours hopefully, and include you again soon enough. Besides, try to imagine how much of a third wheel his sister feels like when she is hanging out with the two of you...! Try to smile next time and if they use a bit of time just do something else. If you are hanging out with others too try to talk to the others instead.

Some families promote a lot of 'touchy-feely" closeness. I gotta admit this makes me feel uneasy BUT that's the way some folks are so maybe you best ignore it.
