A age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2.5 years. I am a South African Indian and he is a White man. I just got divorced from an Indian guy that was the apple of my parents eye. They did not know he treated me badly. After my decision to leave him I met my boyfriend. I informed my conservative Indian parents about him and knowing they would be shocked at the difference in race, I told them that he was only 10 years older than I was. He has met my parents and they get on as well as can be expected. My grandmother even likes him and we work abroad together at times. Now we would like to get married and have kids but the dishonesty about his age is killing me! What do I do? I love him so much and I know he will make a great dad. We are very compatible. I do not want to give him up be I just cannot handle these lies anymore. What do I do? The lies will eventually come out when we have kids if not sooner.. Please help - what do I do??

A male reader, Love Byte India +, writes (2 September 2011):

If you are confident & already introduced him to your family - I don't see why you should not tell this too to them. If they are already met him I suppose they would have sensed the age gap too by now. If not, suggest disclose them, make them understand & if your family have already accepted him now, I don't see why they will not even after knowing the real thing as that hardly makes a difference in your relationship, right?

All the best...
