Heh, sounds like my situation. My ex FWB found a question that I wrote on here about a girl I liked at work. It mentioned how I thought she was beautiful and how I thought I might have a shot with her. My FWB read it and decided she didn't want to be with me anymore.
If she had let me explain she would have understood that the only reason I was falling for another girl was because she wasn't giving me attention. She would ignore my wants and "forget" about me sometimes (her words). So naturally, I was falling for a beautiful girl that was giving me attention.
I think you should let him explain. It might not change your mind but it might at least give you closure.

If he truly does have feelings for his BFF, it is wise to leave him and find someone who has feelings only for you.
Are you absolutely certain he wrote it?
