Funny that my gf says the same thing about me...Im about 5 years older than my gf. We have had our ups and downs but always seems to want to work it out in the end. We(men) often have difficulties expressing need and want when it comes to women. We dont want to neccesarily give you the answers, but we want you to know. What helped me somewhat ease up on her was understanding that she is trying, she asked me for patience and understanding. Sometimes us(men) critisizing our mates is a way of hiding something that we may be stressed about. I ended up having to open up and tell her how I really feel on certain things and together we are constantly working on our communication habits...explain to him how you feel in a calm manner, he should be willing to except it
