I am 20 and having sorta the same problem accept it's the guy who has the girlfriend and I am the new friend. He loves her to death....All I can tell you is don't be afraid to try something new. You are so young and have a Lot of LIFE ahead of you. Listen to your heart.....You know either way that you choose someone will get hurt so be brave in whatever your decision. But remeber don't ever be afraid to try something new just bc you are scared....

Young love is always fraught with these kind of worries. It may help to know that you are not the first, by a long chalk, to feel what you do. You say that you love him to bits so I guess the first question you must ask yourself is 'do I?' 'Do I really?'. If you are feeling something towards someone else then there is room in your heart. If there is room in your heart then the love you say is already complete perhaps isn't and when that does happen, you will know, believe me, you will know. I'm sure you get tired of people telling you that you are so, so young to be totally in love because thats how it feels to you but ask yourself....is this the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, to have children by....to grow old with. At your age I'm sure you haven't even thought about that stuff yet. There is probably many relationships down the road that you havn't even begun to contemplate. Go with your instints on this. Enjoy the excitement of the chase for a while. When you find your true love your heart will be so full that what you are feeling now for this other guy would not have even surfaced.
