Long distance relationship woes, is he losing interest or am I overreacting?

A female Canada age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I have been together almost 3 1/2 years. Although we go to school together, most of our time is spent in a long distance relationship. Over the past few months though I've noticed he doesn't seem as interested. He doesn't tell me he misses me, he says he's going to visit but makes no plans to, he doesn't write back to my emails or call me, unless I call first. I've tried talking about how I feel but his response is usually "I don't know" or "I don't know what to say." I find it incredibly frustrating. I feel in a long distance relationship, especially after 3 years, communication is important. I feel like he doesn't know what he wants anymore. Am I just overreacting, or is he losing interest?

It sounds like he's losing interest baby. Sorry, but that's how things go. You need to talk to him and find out if he wants to finish or not, be prepared for the worst.
