LDR breakup so hard because I don't have friends around me

A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

My girlfriend and I recently broke up because of the strain of a long distance relationship. The breakup has affected me greatly because of the sudden loss in attention and just being able to talk to her everyday. So I was wondering what should I do to get over her? I don't really have a lot of friends that live near me or even talk to and I guess that's part of the reason why this breakup is so hard towards me.
