writes: Hello, I'm 16 nearly 17 and I've never had a boyfriend. My life is pretty boring, a few close friends, hardly ever go out only to school. This boy started talking to me on myspace, and he seems I don't know how to say this but perfect?? He is just like me alot, we have the same interests, we even look alike, small, skinny, dark hair, my friends said we'd be good together from what I've heard, I've never even met him, but I just had this feeling, apparently he is friends with one of my best friends and regulaly goes over to her house, she said yesterday that he was getting 'close' to her and she thinks he likes her, I don't know what to do. Whether to go to a party she invited me to on saturday, he could possible be there so I could meet him, or just forget it like I have done with all the boys in my life and finally admit that I've never loved anyone, never will and admit to having to live my life alone????

Make sure he's "safe" to be around before you are alone with him. You never know with people these days. If you're really interested and after meeting him you still like him, then make time to hang out. I know how it feels to be 16 and never have a boyfriend, and fell you are going to be alone forever. But i can PROMISE you that everyone has felt that way, especially when they were teenagers! Trust me, you won't be alone forever. You've got your whole life ahead of you to find that special guy, and you're way too young to be worrying about it now. In the mean time, just concentrate on right now. Meet the guy before you decide what you think. And please remember it is okay that you havn't had a boyfriend yet. I was the same way and used to worry constantly. I promise it will get better. Just hang in there and take your time with these things!
