Is this co-worker interested in my boyfriend?

Question - (3 January 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 3 January 2009)
A female United States age 51-59, anonymous writes:

How do I know if my boyfriend is interested in one of our co-workers? He started buying her snacks and always smiles at her. He asks questions about when she is working. She knows that we are engaged. She always smiles back. Now when she hears his voice in the hallway she always gets up from her desk and finds something to do outside the office. She is spending a lot of time hanging out in the lobby and riding the elevators all day. He is the maintenance man so he is all over the building. Do I have something to worry about?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (3 January 2009):

I don't think that you have too much to worry about. Has he ever done anything to betray your trust? He would be pretty stupid do something with a woman you know too. He's probably just trying to be nice, and maybe he is flattered by the attention. But, if the work friendship starts to cross the line and she is calling him or they start doing things outside of work. Maybe the red flag should go up. But in the mean time you could just tell him that it makes you feel a little uncomfortable with how she acts towards him. I wouldn't be aggressive or angry with him, but just express how you are feeling in a very calm manner. If there is nothing going on he will respect how you are feeling.
