You have to decide if losing your sister (and connections with the rest of your family as they will likely turn on you). You also have to consider that if things with the two of you don't work out, and he still manages to work things out with your sister (his wife), your family will have further reason to cut ties with you, to help maintain their marriage.This is a losing prospect for you.
