There are lots of little side effects, you'd have to read the leaflet that comes with each one.

My first one gave my bad PMT, I just wanted to cry for a week before my period.

The second one was brilliant and stopped me getting headaches and made my periods lighter and more regular, but there is a risk of microscopic blood clots. Harmless to most people but since I get migraines I am not allowed to be on it.

The third one I tried made me be on my period ALL the TIME and put on weight, which was horrible so I came of it and on to my current one.

I've only been on this one for a couple of months and you have to allow 3 months for your body to get used to it so we shall see!

Good Luck!! xx

yes there is ive found. I thought i was having a bad time with work etc but then I realised the pill has been giving me these really awful depression episodes. Also Ive been on it a few month now and my last period was 9 days long and they used to only be 3 days, although they are lighter. It is the best contraception because half of the month you cant do a lot! Of course this is just how my body has reacted to it, Im sure its going to be completely different for urself and although u appear to be young if your already sexually active the pill is a good contraception to use as a back up to condoms, so there is protection from pregnancy and std's at once and if your ill at any time and the pill doesnt work ur still covered.

good luck

weight gain but this might not be such a negative thing as it often makes your boobs bigger too. But my aunt gained 2 stone over a year of taking the pill, so you just got to watch what you eat!
