Is my uncle lying about the guy I like saying he likes me?

hi i like this boy called jayden but he doesnt like me what should i do? my uncle josh said he likes me but i asked him out and he said no, then my uncle josh said that jayden says nice things about me behind my back but he doesnt want me to know. then i asked josh what he said about me, but he wouldnt tell me and i know why because jayden didnt say any thing about me. josh was lying but i dont really know if he was telling the truth or not what should i do? and how can i find out if hes lying or telling the truth?
