It is entirely possible to have acquired an 'STD' without full penetrative sex - HPV is contracted by skin to skin contact, and cold sores from herpes simplex (which isn't always sexually transmitted) can be contracted by mere kissing when someone has an active break out! Of course there is HIV and hepatitus that can be transmitted sexually, and through lots of non-sexual ways too. There lots of STD's are not exclusively sexual.

As far as I know, crabs is not considered to be a STD per say, unlike these others:
Chlamydia
Gonorrhea
Syphilis
Trichomoniasis
Vaginal infections
Genital Herpes
Genital Warts (HPV)
Hepatitis B
HIV/AIDS
Most often you need to have had sex penetration or oral sex to get most of these but some only need genital contact. If you are concerned that you may have contracted one of the above, you had better get to the doctor for testing and/or treatment. It's scary stuff out there, be careful and truly know your partner.
