Any kind of advice or words of wisdom would be much appreciated....

I just graduated high school and decided to go out of state. Right after I chose to go out of state I met a wonderful guy... He was someone I truly fell in love with. We dated for a while and well, one day we had plans and he stood me up, never called or texted again. I was heart broken and I still am. I'm not sure what it's about but I feel like it's because I'm leaving for college out of state. He never liked to talk about feelings or anything but I have a hunch this is what it comes down to. Now I'm at this school and I feel like I hate it because it tore me and him up.. is it wrong for me to feel this?
