I've always thought a real one night stand is when you meet someone at a bar, club or party for the first time and sleep with them that night. If you've known a person for a few years or even spent a few days hanging out with them before I feel it's more of a FWB or casual sex than a true one-night stand in the negative sense of the word. Any input on this rather trivial matter?

What is it that you are afraid of? That you will be judged for having a ONS? You know what that is, whichever way you word it. I think you do score a goal when you say you didn't have sex with someone you have only just met at a bar. If you are so worried how you will look if it's found out, maybe avoid these encounters in the future. Make sure you have a clean medical record and it should all be fine.

I would not consider it a one night stand, no. I've often asked myself the same question however.
Hope this helps :)
