A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

hi there......... i don't know how to put this without making it sound confusing, bu here it goes...

I'm irregular in my cycles.and the doctor told me that with contraceptives my cycles would be regular. but i had to wait until my first day of period to start taking them. so, as I'm extremely irregular, he also gave me a special medicine that i had to take for 5 days and after that within the next 3 or 7 days (after i take the last pill) my period will come.

I had sex before i went to the doctor and he gave me the pills (we used condom AND my bf didn't cum inside)but if i was pregnant will my bleeding come anyway? or if i bleed it means that i should stop worrying? because i've heard that the pills produce you an artificial bleeding and now im really confused. please help!!

May I also add that if you think there is a slight chance you might be pregnant you should not take any of the medication the doc has given you until you have explained this to him. Also it is reffered to as a false period but its not it just changes your cycle so you would from then on have a regular period.

Oh and another thing you can bleed in pregnancy I did in 2 pregnancies, so bad that I thought the results of the test were messed up, this happened until I was 14 weeks.

Good luck & be carefull,

Chatty x

A female reader, Moo's Mum New Zealand +, writes (15 April 2010):

Moo's Mum agony auntGiven that you used a condom and he didn't cum in you the chances of you being pregnant are extremely small. If you were pregnant you wouldn't bleed (although some people do have some spotting whilst pregnant) I would suggest taking a pregnancy test to reassure yourself and then continue as the doctor has prescribed.

Best of luck.
