I imagine people might judge me, but I had to decide then and I accepted. I can´t let my current employer down and they need at least a two week notice. The trouble is that this new place wants me to start at the end of the second week in January. I feel overcome with guilt because I can´t let my current employer down and I would be heartbroken if I blew this opportunity. I´ve never felt so torn!!I´m so stresed out and anxious. Thanks if you can help me.

But if you feel you're "letting down' your current employer, don't feel bad. If it's because you care for them too much, then they probably care enough for you to know that this is well-deserved, positive growth. if your employer doesn't care for you as much, or doesn't want you to work where you feel you belong in life, then you should have made up your mind ages ago, because your DREAM job totally beats out a restrictive employer anyway. Lastly, if your employer does care for you, but just needs employees, and you are a very good one, then they will be sad to see you go, but that means that one of the plenty of qualified, unemployed people will have a chance to get your job. No matter how you look at it, you will be getting a wonderful, new job, and your employer, happy for you or angry that you're going, will be fine without you. Sorry for the long answer, but I hope you make the right choice. You have so much ahead of you, you just have to take the opportunity when it arises.
