I usually have to tell him good night because it would be 3 in the morning and he would say "awww :(" then ask me when i'll be on next time. He had invited me over to his birthday party and only now do I think back I was the only friend he had invited, everyone else was related to him. He had also broken up with his girlfriend before I went to the party. I'm starting to develop feelings for him because he is a very good friend and recently he helped me get out of a marriage arrangement without me asking him to. He even pretended to be my boyfriend. I don't know if he likes me or not because we live far from each other and I don't get to see if he reacts differently with other girls, but what I do know is that he tries his hardest to make me feel comfortable even if it means not letting me associate with his friends or trying to avoid his mom from scaring me. He seems to consider you special. You are still very young and I assume he is near the same age. I see no reason why you should not continue being friends, and who knows? When you are both older and he is more free to travel about, etc., you may become better aquainted.
