Okay so I'm sophomore in high school and I'm about to turn 16 (!!). I've been talking to this one guy a lot lately. I mean..200+ messages a day (they are real conversations, too). We talk a lot in school and we both run indoor track and we always partner up for speed drills and stuff like that. I like him a lot..the only thing is he's a freshmen. His birthday is in September so he's about 7 months younger than I am. He's really funny and mature and I really like him. I'm just concerned about the whole age thing. I don't want to be like a cradle robber or anything (it's what I feel like :()..I guess I'm asking would it be weird if we did start to date? He's dated older girls before (a senior!!!), so I'm pretty sure he wouldn't feel strange..but I'm just not sure about the whole "dating a younger guy" thing. I guess I feel just really guilty about it...what do you all think?

A male reader, JEFFTHEDREAM United States +, writes (11 February 2011):

The age difference is really small so it shouldn't matter. I have friends and all they talk about is younger guys(they are girls) so it shouldn't matter at all especially if you like him.
